Clarifications
What is vertical bifacial solar and how does it work?
Vertical bifacial solar installs solar panels vertically in a fence-like orientation, capturing sunlight from both sides. Rather than facing south, panels face east and west to capture morning and afternoon sun, generating higher value diurnal peak electricity with virtually zero ground footprint.
Can farm equipment operate between the vertical solar rows?
Yes. Row spacing is fully customizable (typically 25 to 45 feet) to accommodate standard tractors, combines, sprayers, and harvesters. The vertical orientation preserves over 95% of arable soil for continued farming or livestock grazing.
How do vertical panels withstand extreme wind and heavy snow?
Sunzaun vertical racking systems are engineered and PE-stamped to ASCE 7-16 structural codes, certified for wind gusts exceeding 140 MPH. Because panels stand 90 degrees vertical, snow and dust shed naturally without accumulating, and ground albedo reflection from snow actually boosts winter generation.
Do you supply the solar modules or only the mounting hardware?
We design, patent, and fabricate the complete vertical racking structure (driven posts, hot-dip galvanized SGZ-V1 clamps, and UL 2703 grounding hardware). We are module-agnostic and work seamlessly with EPCs and developers using standard Tier-1 bifacial glass-glass modules.
What is the turnaround time for feasibility and cost estimates?
Once you submit your project boundary, parcel acreage, or preliminary linear footage, our technical team generates a preliminary diurnal solar profile, bill of materials, and structural engineering review within 24 business hours.
